One of the most famous landmarks in Fremont is the super cool Fremont Troll that is located under the Aurora Bridge (also known as the George Washington Memorial Bridge). Located on N. 36th Street at Troll Avenue N, this 18- foot tall sculpture was sculpted in 1990 as a means to rehabilitate the area under the bridge. This free attraction is based on an old Scandinavian folklore and is really cool to see.

For the past thirty two years, the Fremont Sunday Market has been a staple in this community. It has brought Fremont a plethora of handmade crafts, exquisite antiques, mouth watering food, beautiful vintage clothing and beautiful collectibles.

Located  at 3401 Evanston Ave N, the Fremont Market is open on Sundays from 10am – 4pm.

This not to miss beautiful park runs along the north side of the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The entrance is at 199 N Canal Street, the park extends for about four blocks and offers excellent views of the canal and boat traffic. It also has a nice walking trail and many benches to sit and relax.

Discover the Art

If you’re like me, you love to explore different places and see what makes each place unique.  One of my favorite ways to do that is to check out the street mural scenes. In just under two miles you can see some pretty cool murals on the streets in Fremont. From the rainbow coffee mug mural at PIM Coffee and Bikes, or the Statue of Lenin at 3526 Fremont Pl N, there are lots of unique things to discover by walking around and exploring the streets.

Check out the killer food scene

Fremont is home to some of the best food in Seattle.

With phenomenal restaurants such Rockcreek Seafood & Spirits, Paseo, S/T Hooligans and Cafe Turko, your toughest decision of the day will be where to have dinner.  If you’re not in the mood to sit down, no problem! Fremont also has some pretty fabulous food trucks too!
